Série veleiro Forel: The GreenCORE project
#08. Samuel Toucanne and Brandon Finley were the first two scientists to board the sailing vessel Forel in Greenland, this year. They joined the first leg of the third expedition of the Forel Heritage Association. Samuel works at the French Institute for Ocean Science (Ifremer), and Brandon studies at the University of Lausanne, in Switzerland. In this chat, they speak about the GreenCORE, a research project that they are involved with, which uses marine sediments to better understand the cryosphere.
This podcast is the eighth of a special series which will take you through the past and present life of "the big lady" - a Brazilian-built vessel refitted into a research platform, allowing international scientists to work in subpolar and polar regions. Samuel Toucanne e Brandon Finley foram os dois primeiros cientistas a embarcarem no veleiro Forel, na Groenlândia, este ano. Eles participaram da terceira expedição da Forel Heritage Association.
